Sara Jo Walker

​Sara Jo Walker, a Nashville, Tennessee native, is a public relations professional with over 10 years of experience in both the public and private sector. Currently, she serves as the Director of Public Relations for Comcast’s seven-state South Region. She covers a wide range of areas including media relations, community outreach, event planning, communications and social media. Sara Jo has been with Comcast for seven years.

 

Walker is also very involved in her community. She instigated the plan for the Tennessee State Museum to have a Young Professionals Council and served as the Council President. She also served on the Board of Big Brothers Big Sisters, the Tennessee Cable Telecommunications Association and the Young Leaders Board of the Make-A-Wish Foundation. Sara Jo is currently a member of the Red Cross Tiffany’s circle.

 

Sara Jo was one of the Nashville Business Journal’s Top 40 Under 40 and Nashville’s Top 30 Under 30 honorees.

 

Prior to her work at Comcast, Walker- a graduate of the Mass Communications department at MTSU was formerly the Director of Communications for the Tennessee Department of Revenue and liaison to the Tennessee Film Commission, where she frequently assisted the Governor’s office and communications department.

 

Sara Jo is married to Ryan Walker and they have a son, Jack Ryan Walker.
