Sarah Nix

Sarah Nix is the Director of Library & Media Services for Viacom Media Networks. In this role she oversees cataloging, circulation and curation of over 1.6 million assets, broadcast & multiplatform delivery for air and the distribution of $1 million in raw stock. She manages a staff of 38 employees in New York, Los Angeles and Nashville, and a budget of $3.1 million.

Sarah began her career in Library Services at Fox News Channel in 1996 just months prior to the network’s launch and was promoted to Supervisor within her first year. In her two and a half year tenure with the network she worked on several high profile news events, including John Glenn’s return to space and Princess Diana’s funeral. She joined Comedy central in 1999 as Manager of Library Services.  During her time at Comedy Central, Sarah was responsible for quality control of the weekly South Park feed, converting the broadcast library from D2 to Digital Betcam, managing a staff of six employees and broadcast delivery for air. She also oversaw the transition of the library to MTV Networks when Comedy Central was acquired by Viacom in 2004.

Sarah graduated from the Roy H Park School of Communications at Ithaca College in 1996 with a B.S in Television-Radio with a concentration in Video Production. She continues to play an active role in Ithaca’s alumni community in New York City.

Sarah volunteers for The American Foundation for AIDS Research (amfAR), The National Hemophilia Foundation and HousingWorks.

Her personal interests include travel, theater and film. She lives in Sleepy Hollow, New York.
