Sarah Ray

Sarah Ray is Manager of Partner Marketing in the Content Distribution and Marketing division of Viacom Media Networks (formerly MTV Networks). Sarah is responsible for strategically developing, managing, and executing marketing initiatives for the Comedy Central and Spike networks across Viacom’s distribution partners (DirecTV, Comcast, Verizon, etc).  These marketing initiatives generate mutually-beneficial partnerships that drive network ratings and awareness for key programming events as well as promote affiliate business goals. She also executes and implements strategic marketing tactics in Canada for the Spike and BET brands.

A 7-year veteran of Viacom, Sarah previously held positions of escalating responsibility in the Content Distribution & Marketing department (formerly Affiliates Sales & Marketing) starting her career as an intern on MTV. She has since gathered considerable experience working on most of the remaining VMN portfolio of networks including TV Land, the Nickelodeon Kids & Family group including Nickelodeon and the niche-targeted digital networks Nick @ Nite and Nicktoons, as well as EPIX, Viacom’s premium entertainment service in various positions ranging from Team Assistant to Manager. Earlier this year, Sarah began supporting Comedy Central and Spike, including Bellator MMA, Viacom’s mixed martial arts tournament.

In addition to her role at Viacom, Sarah is an active philanthropist and endurance runner. She is currently training to complete her 5th marathon in Chicago this fall and has fundraised over $350,000 for The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society (LLS) in the past 3.5 years. This past June, Sarah was named the LLS’ 2013 National Woman of the Year Runner Up and the 2013 New York City Chapter Woman of the Year Winner. She holds a B.A. in Communication from University of Missouri-Columbia.
