Shawn Duncan

Shawn Duncan is the Vice President of Field Operations for Cox Communications, Southwest Region. He oversees field operations in Southern Nevada and Arizona for Cox residential, Cox Business and Cox Hospitality Network customers, including installation, service, and network maintenance.

A 27-year Cox Communications employee, Shawn joined the company in 1993 as a field technician. He held a variety of leadership positions in Field Operations and Business Operations, including Director of Field Services for Arizona from 2005 to 2008, Director of Credit and Collections from 2008 to 2012 and Executive Field Director for Cox Las Vegas from 2012 to 2016.

Shawn has an Executive MBA in International Business from the Thunderbird School of Global Management and a Bachelor of Science degree from Western International University. He is focused on leadership and personal development, and received the Leader of Leaders Award for servant leadership in the Cox Arizona Promising Leaders Program. He authored the 15-year “Taking on Me” (formerly Aspiring Leaders) professional development program that has positively impacted more than 800 Cox employees in Arizona and Las Vegas and partner organizations such as ASU, UNLV, WICT and WBEC.

He devotes his volunteer time to homeless and disadvantaged youth organizations, currently serving on the Board for the Salvation Army of Phoenix Metro as the Program Chairman and Vice Chairman. He is the Past Chair of the Board of Directors of the Boys and Girls Clubs of the East Valley (Arizona) and served on the Board of Directors for the Boys and Girls Club of Southern Nevada. Shawn serves as an advisor on industry Boards for SCTE and WICT, and also serves as Executive Sponsor for Cox’s Salute (Veterans) Employee Resource Group and Cox’s Southwest Region Diversity Council – Supplier Pillar. He has been a longtime Pop Warner football coach, and previously served in leadership roles on the National Board of StandUp for Kids.
