Bridging the gap between business and technology, Sherry Ott is a results-oriented professional and big-picture champion with a proven track record of success managing a portfolio of enterprise-level technology products and executing strategic business plans in the cable industry.
Since joining the industry in 1999, Sherry has served in various leadership roles within Product Management, Program/Project Management, Process Improvement, Customer Operations and Technology. Sherry is a catalyst for agile delivery of innovative solutions, achieving business objectives through a focus on the user and customer experience. As a Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO), Sherry helped to lead an agile transformation within Time Warner Cable’s Technology organization.
In her most recent Senior Manager roles, Sherry led a team of Technical Product Owners accountable for a diverse portfolio of enterprise desktop, field, telephony and web applications, collaborating with business stakeholders, engineering and technology teams to define and deliver on product vision, strategy and roadmaps. Throughout her career, Sherry served in roles at Charter Communications, Time Warner Cable and Adelphia Communications.
A WICT member since 2008, Sherry has enjoyed a variety of professional development and networking events within the Carolinas, Washington DC/Baltimore and Greater Pittsburgh Chapters. In 2014, Sherry was selected to participate in the WICT Carolinas Chapter Leadership Community of Practice. In 2015, Sherry was accepted into the WICT Rising Leaders Program, an intensive leadership development program that proved to be an incredible opportunity to advance leadership skills, expand cable business acumen, and build valuable connections with fellow WICT members and industry professionals.
An alumnus of the University of Pittsburgh, Sherry earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management. She is also a member of the Scrum Alliance and Project Management Institute.
Within the community, Sherry is a passionate advocate for medically fragile children and their families. Inspired into action through her family’s personal experience, Sherry is an avid supporter and volunteer for The Children’s Home of Pittsburgh & Lemieux Family Center. She serves on the Board of Directors for Zachary’s Mission, as well as the Art is Good Foundation. Sherry resides in the Greater Pittsburgh area with her husband, Jason who shares her passion for making a positive impact in the lives of others.
