Shubha Goenka

Shubha Goenka is the Distributor Marketing Manager at Smithsonian Channel. In this role she helps guide the team’s marketing strategy and campaigns, sell-in and manage the network’s cause marketing initiatives for Black History and Veteran’s Month and assists with new product launches and their continued promotion.

As an award-winning designer, she began her career at Wunderman Dubai as a graphic designer, working on prestigious projects for various clients, including Emirates Airlines and HRH Sheikh Mohammad’s office. Upon relocating to the U.S. she transitioned into a marketing role at Z Living TV (aka Veria Living) where she went on to support ad sales, international and distributor marketing for the independent network. After 5 years at the network, she joined Time Warner Cable Media as a brand specialist, managing their paid, owned and earned media channels. She helped grow brand awareness for their media business and generate leads for sales executives across 50+ markets. In 2016 she moved back to the network-side and joined the Smithsonian Channel team in her current role.

Shubha graduated with honors from the American University in Dubai with a Bachelors of Fine Arts in Graphic Design. Born in India, raised in Dubai and having lived and worked around the U.S., she uses her diverse background to help grow brands in today’s multicultural world.

She currently resides in New jersey with her husband and eight year old son and loves to travel, meditate and host cooking classes. Among her various volunteer roles, she serves on her son’s school PTO board as chair of the annual fundraiser.
