Stefanie Nimick

As senior vice president of distribution for Rainbow Network Sales, Stefanie Nimick is responsible for developing strategic sales initiatives for Rainbow Media Holdings’ cutting-edge, multiplatform brands including: AMC, IFC, Sundance Channel, WE tv, LIFESKOOL, SPORTSKOOL and VOOM HD Networks. Ms. Nimick was named to this post in 2008. In this role, she leads the MSO account teams for Comcast, Time Warner, Cablevision and Mediacom and oversees the Eastern region sales team. Earlier, Ms. Nimick served as vice president of field sales for the Eastern division, and prior to that, director of the Central region for Rainbow Media’s national networks at the time – AMC, fuse (now managed by MSG), IFC and WE tv. Before that, she served as director of sales for MuchMusic (now fuse) in the Central region. During her tenure with Rainbow Media, Ms. Nimick has been a key contributor to the distribution growth of each network – with AMC currently available in nearly 93 million households, fuse with more than 50 million viewing subscribers, IFC with more than 48 million viewing subscribers and WE tv available in more than 70 million homes. Previously, Ms. Nimick worked at FX Networks for four years. She started as sales and marketing manager and was later promoted to regional director of their Central region. She began her cable career in 1989 with Rainbow Media’s regional sports network SportsChannel Chicago (now Comcast SportsNet) as sales coordinator. Ms. Nimick currently serves as a mentor with Women in Cable & Telecommunications’ (WICT) Chicago chapter and throughout the years has held numerous board positions, including serving as chapter president. She also was a founding member of the chapter’s “Dana Thompson Rising Star” mentoring program. Ms. Nimick has been honored by the chapter with a number of honors, including the 2005 Breaking the Mold Award, the 2004 Distinguished Leader Award, and the 1994 President’s Award. Ms. Nimick earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Telecommunications from the University of Florida in Gainesville.
