Stephanie Altman, Vice President of Human Resources for CNN, leads CNN’s Global Digital and US Domestic HR strategy and delivery with teams in New York, Atlanta, Washington, DC, Los Angeles, London and Hong Kong. Based out of Washington, DC, Stephanie is instrumental in workforce planning and strategy for CNN Digital’s global growth across mobile platforms as well as startup companies such as Great Big Story and the recent acquisition of Beme, run by Casey Neistat. She also plays a significant role in the workforce strategy for the network’s coverage of elections, including 2016’s momentous presidential election.
Prior to joining CNN, Ms. Altman was the head of Human Resources for a global startup company, managing employee compensation and benefit programs across 22 countries. She has in-depth experience in mergers and acquisitions from her time working as a Consultant at Mercer, managing deals for Fortune 500 companies across multiple industries. Stephanie started her career in Human Resources working with PricewaterhouseCoopers’ Strategic HR Outsourcing organization, designing policy and processes, and implementing employee service centers for companies outsourcing their administrative Human Resource function.
Stephanie graduated from Clemson University in Clemson, South Carolina with a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing. She is a member of the Gamma Phi Beta sorority, where she was elected president of the Clemson chapter and, later, served as a Collegiate Leadership Consultant. She is also a member of the Society for Human Resource Management.
