Stephanie Bastin-Wells

Stephanie Bastin-Wells is the Senior Human Resources Manager for the Northwest Region of Comcast Spotlight.  In this role, Stephanie’s key areas of focus include employee engagement, organizational planning, staffing, organizational development, performance management, talent management and leadership of the HR function across the Oregon and Washington markets.  She is a member of the Senior Leadership Team in both states as well as on the Northwest Regional Leadership Team.  Stephanie’s primary responsibility is to guide managers and supervisors to be the most effective leaders they can be, as well as to provide business support, direction and strategy to senior leadership to ensure Comcast’s people practices directly align with the goals of the business.
 
Stephanie has been in the field of Human Resources domestically and overseas for over 15 years.  Prior to Comcast Spotlight, Stephanie was the HR Manager for Gerding Edlen Development, a major player in the real estate market on the west coast and leader in sustainable design & development.  At GED, she was the strategic HR partner to the executive team as well as the ‘Chief People Leader’ in the business.
 
From 1998 – 2005, Stephanie lived and worked in Auckland, New Zealand.  Her most cherished role offshore was that of the Human Resources Manager – Talent & Resourcing for Lion Nathan, Australasia’s largest brewing and alcoholic drinks company.  Stephanie spent five incredible years establishing best practice resourcing processes, coaching leaders throughout the NZ business on effective HR practices and building the foundation of her HR knowledge under tremendous leadership.
 
Stephanie received her Bachelor of Arts (honors) degree in Speech Communication from Portland State University in 1996, and became an accredited SPHR upon her return to America in 2005.  She is a member of the Pride of Portland chapter of Sweet Adelines International, and is an active volunteer/career coach at Transition Projects – a homeless shelter focused on moving people back into work and housing.  Stephanie lives in Portland, Oregon with her husband Lance, her 7-month old daughter Delia, 2 dogs and 2 cats.
