Susan Adams serves as Senior Vice President of Engineering and Technical Operations for Comcast’s NorthCentral Division. In this role, she leads the team of engineers and technical staff responsible for building and maintaining the voice, video and data network that provides services to Comcast’s 6.6 million customers in five New England states, Michigan, Illinois and Indiana areas. Most recently, she led the successful development and implementation of the network for Comcast Digital Voice, the company’s award-winning IP-enabled phone service. Ms. Adams has more than 10 years of experience in the cable industry, holding a variety of management and technical operations positions with Comcast and its predecessor companies, including Continental Cable, MediaOne and AT&T Broadband. Ms. Adams served as Vice President of Internet Protocol Platforms for AT&T Broadband, where she led a team of network and systems engineers responsible for designing and building the provisioning systems that provide various services to AT&T Broadband subscribers. Previously, she was Vice President of Regional Operations for the company, managing the national technical team which untangled the Road Runner network from Time Warner Cable while continuing to support and roll out new high-speed Internet services. Prior to joining AT&T Broadband, Ms. Adams served as Director of Network Operations for MediaOne’s Roadrunner, responsible for creating the national support system of network engineers. She was later promoted to Vice President of Northeast Regional Operations, where she had end-to-end responsibility for launching new markets and delivering Road Runner to the New York, New Jersey and New England areas. Ms. Adams joined Continental Cablevision in January 1996 to help launch the company’s high-speed Internet service in New England. She led the technical team who built and maintained the network and infrastructure for the new high-speed Internet project. Ms. Adams earned a bachelor’s degree from New Hampshire College and a master’s degree in Computer Information Systems from Bentley College. Ms. Adams was born and raised in Lawrence, MA and currently lives in Methuen, MA with her husband David and their dog Elvis.
