Susan Leigh joined Scripps Networks in 2005 as Vice President Ad Sales, Great American Country. After organizing a sales team for the newly acquired network, she led the effort to position GAC as a valuable resource for major national advertisers. In addition to her sales responsibilities, Susan has also been proactive in new business initiatives and marketing platforms, including collaborative selling with Country Weekly magazine, NASCAR, and the Academy of Country Music. Maintaining a large responsibility for a small network, Susan has emphasized the importance of growth and innovative ideas with her employees, encouraging relationships among the sales staff, research and marketing. She also works closely with network programming to develop convergent content and sponsorship platforms. Prior to joining Scripps Networks Interactive with GAC, Susan worked for Comcast Networks for over ten years, her roles spanning from Manager Ad Sales Research E! to VP Ad Sales for The Style Network. She began her career with TCI Cable as a local ad sales representative in White Plains, NY. An Alumna of The University of North Carolina at Greensboro, Susan has served on the IRTS Board of Directors since 2004. She lives in Hoboken, NJ with her husband and daughter.
