Susan Reinhold

Susan L. Reinhold serves as Vice President of Operations for Comcast Cable Communications Inc.’s South Florida Region.  She is responsible for engineering, operations, new product launches and technical infrastructure maintenance and improvements.  While launching new products such as Comcast Digital Voice (CDV), High Definition Television (HDTV), Digital Video Recorders (DVR) or Video on Demand (VOD) requires defined applications engineering, she focuses on integrating the technology into the operations so that customers can benefit. 

During the past four years with the South Florida team, she has focused on new products, new technologies, operational efficiencies and ensuring the end-to-end customer service operation is ready for the new products.  This is in addition to completing a 7,000+ mile upgrade of the network infrastructure to enable the launch of the new products and technologies.

With over 25 years in the telecommunications and cable television business, Reinhold has been in a number of geographic regions.   Prior to south Florida, she served as VP/GM for the team in Montgomery County, Maryland, responsible for all facets of the Comcast of Montgomery operation.  Reinhold joined Comcast as the Regional Vice President of Engineering with responsibility for technical operations and engineering for 13 systems in the Southeastern United States, centered in West Palm Beach, FL, in 1996. 

Prior to Comcast, Reinhold was with Ameritech and Wisconsin Bell for 17 years.  Starting as a Radio Engineer in 1979, she progressed through multiple, increasingly responsible engineering, operations and leadership roles until she lead a 300+ person team focused on providing switched telecommunications services to over 2.3 million customers in the state of Wisconsin.

Reinhold received her BS in Engineering Mechanics in 1979 and her MBA in 1996, both from the University of Wisconsin.  She received the Academic Achievement Award in 2005 from her alma mater.  Reinhold also received the Comcast Cable Communications Inc. Team Circle of Success Award in 2005 for her role in Hurricane restoration.

Reinhold is a board member, membership chair and mentor program co-chair for the South Florida chapter of Women in Cable Telecommunications (WICT).  She is also on the board of the South Florida Chapter of the Society of Cable Telecommunications Engineers (SCTE). 

Reinhold resides in Hallandale Beach, Florida, with her family.  In her free time, she enjoys jogging and exercising as well as boating with her husband, Mark, and daughters Stephanie and Michelle on their 30-foot cruiser, “The Happy Hour.”
