Susana Martinez is a Talent Director at the cable network, Nickelodeon. She began her career working for a production company that produced Spanish-themed sitcoms for Telemundo. During her production years, she was given the opportunity to work and gain valuable knowledge in the different fields (production assistant, production coordinator, accounting, script supervisor, casting assistant, etc.). During Susana’s time as a casting assistant, she discovered she wanted to explore this field further, as it gave her great drive and pleasure for placing actors in the right roles. She began to work for several casting directors that were casting for both network and cable series/pilots. While at a casting session that involved children and teens, she quickly realized she had found her passion. Through several cold calls and multiple interviews, Susana landed her dream job at Nickelodeon. She started in the casting department, but has since transitioned into the talent department, where she helps manage and oversee the day-to-day activity for live-action talent. She has been working at Nickelodeon for 13 years.
Susana graduated from California State University, Fullerton where she earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Television and Film. She is married, has 2 children and resides in the Los Angeles area.
