Tamara Franklin

As executive vice president of digital at Scripps Networks Interactive, Tamara Franklin oversees the company’s digital business units to coordinate overall strategy and activity, focusing on an integrated company-wide approach to digital video production and distribution.

 

Franklin previously served as Scripps Networks’ senior vice president of affiliate operations and new media distribution, where she oversaw the Comcast relationship and was instrumental in the development and rollout of TV Everywhere applications for the company’s lifestyle media brands. She joined Scripps Networks in 2009 from Turner Broadcasting Systems, where she was vice president of business development. Franklin also served in roles at Motorola and Bain & Company.


Franklin is a graduate of NAMIC’s Executive Leadership Development Program and the WICT Betsy Magness Leadership Institute. She’s been named one of Multichannel News‘ "Wonder Women," Cynopsis Media’s "Most Intriguing People," Black Enterprise magazine’s "50 Most Powerful Women in Corporate America," and Savoy Magazine‘s "Most Influential Women in Corporate America." Franklin’s also been named to Cablefax‘s"Most Influential Minorities in Cable" and "Most Powerful Women in Cable" lists, and has been honored as a NAMIC Luminary. 

 

Franklin holds an MBA from Harvard University and a bachelor’s degree in English from Yale University.
