Tamika Blockett

Tamika Blockett is Senior Marketing Manager that comes from a robust background centering around the entertainment television industry. She brings over 10+ years of broad based and specialized expertise in partnership marketing, public affairs, client development and strategic planning. She’s worked with powerful brands such as MTV NETWORKS, NICKELODEON KIDS & FAMILY BRANDS, BET NETWORKS, PBS and more. With brand, partnership marketing and special events expertise, Ms. Blockett has increased network ratings and media growth by delivering excellent concepts and execution through integrated multi-media marketing campaigns.

Currently under the MTV Networks – Content Distribution & Partner Marketing umbrella, she oversees the strategic development and orchestrates Nickelodeon, Partnership Marketing Video on Demand, Local Events & Promotions and Local Ad Sales Partnerships. Her most recent accomplishment includes being appointed to Viacom’s new pro-social initiative entitled Get Schooled where she serves as project lead. 

Aligning her passion with her career goals, she is committed to kids, arts and philanthropy. She currently sits on the Board Member for the charitable organization, Hip Hop 4 Life. A non-profit committed to building self-esteem, confidence and sound judgment in young people where she is also the Fundraising Chair. Tamika is also a member of NAMIC’s National & New York Chapter and WICT.

Prior to her current appointment at MTV Networks, Tamika was a Special Events Manager for BET Networks in Washington, DC. Tamika is a graduate of Bowie State University, earning her Bachelor’s of Arts degree in Journalism, with a Public Relations emphasis.
