Tara Dunning is the Executive Director of New Product Introduction for Comcast Business Services. In this capacity, Tara is responsible for the definition and solution development for all new product and service initiatives for Comcast Business Services, the new growth engine for the corporation.
Tara has over 15 years of executive management experience in telecommunications, business operations and product delivery. Her extensive background also includes serving as an officer during a successful Initial Public Offering where she led the implementation of a patented broadband infrastructure solution for the MDU, Hospitality and Public Access sectors. Tara is an experienced, multi-disciplinary leader, skilled in cross-functional organizational development, cultural change management and a pioneer of business transformation. She has spent a substantial part of her career in leadership positions building and growing new businesses, and has published industry white papers and articles on implementing transformative business models and technology solutions.
Tara has been an active volunteer focused in working with technology-based associations supporting technology start-ups, entrepreneurs and young professional women entering the workplace. She has also been a long time community organizer, particularly in the area of bringing performing arts and dance education and outreach programs to underserved youth, and raising AIDS awareness. Tara has also served in several Board of Trustees positions for her children’s private schools.
She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Literature & Writing from the University of Michigan, graduating with honors. She and her husband, Arte Dunning, reside in Washington, DC with their daughter, Lucy and two sons, Aidan and Nathan.
