As vice president of ad sales marketing for Food Network and Cooking Channel, Tara Sullivan creates sales strategies, sponsorship and promotional opportunities, and oversees development of integrated content and marketing alliances. She has guided the formation of marketing relationships with Food Network talent, including Sunny Anderson’s relationship with Viva Paper Towels, and Guy Fieri’s partnership with TGI Friday’s. Mediaweek cited efforts such as those in naming Food Network to its ‘Cable Hot List,’ praising the network for its creative integrated sponsorship packages in 2008. In addition, Tara’s team was honored in 2010with CableFAX’s "Most Creative Sales Pitch/National Cable Sales.”
Before joining Scripps Networks in 2003 as manager of ad sales marketing, Sullivan served as an account supervisor with McCann-Erickson, and prior to that she was ad sales marketing manager for Turner Broadcasting System International in New York.
She is a recipient of Scripps Networks’ President’s Award and was cited with the company’s “Unsung Hero” award for her support of National Ad Sales in achieving its financial goals. She was honored by the Irish Voice in their “Most Influential Women 2010” issue. She is a member of WICT and completed WICT’s Executive Development Seminar in 2008.
Sullivan enjoys traveling, cooking and entertaining and is delighted to have recently received her scuba dive certification.
