Thuy Burchette is a marketing manager for Turner Content Distribution (TCD), the domestic distribution and marketing arm of Turner. In this role, she is responsible for a wide range of marketing duties including organizing and executing the opening night gala for the TCM Classic Film Festival, working on the contract renewal marketing initiatives, and spearheading affiliate promotions and campaigns with some of Turner’s largest distribution partners such as Comcast and DirecTV. Within her role, Thuy oversees the project timeline and overall budget to ensure key deadlines and phases are met. Additionally, she develops and maintains strategic relationships with outside vendor and agency contacts as well as collaborates across all divisions of Turner to ensure top priority programming marketing initiatives are carried out.
Thuy first started her career with Turner Content Distribution in 2001, as a college intern. Most recently she was an ad sales and promotions manager for TCD where she was responsible for developing and executing affiliate ad sales marketing and promotions for TNT, TBS, TCM, truTV and Turner Sports to successfully generate media revenue, drive viewership and brand awareness. Thuy is involved in an array of Turner sponsored groups, including acting as a Co-Chair for Turner Asia, and a project leader for Turner’s corporate responsibility initiative Turner Volunteer Day. She also belongs to multiple industry organizations, including being an active member of the Women in Cable and Telecommunications (WICT) Southeast Chapter and the National Association for Multi-Ethnicity in Communications (NAMIC).
Turner Content Distribution (TCD) is responsible for the distribution and marketing of Turner’s 10 domestic cable networks – TBS, CNN, HLN, TNT, Cartoon Network, Turner Classic Movies, CNN International, CNN en Español, Boomerang and truTV – to all traditional and emerging distribution partners throughout the United States, Canada, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
