Tina Knight has worked in both the network and operator sides of the cable industry. She started in public relations and government affairs for Cox Communications in Wichita, Kansas where she was involved with interfacing with the communities served by the regional cable system. Upon moving back to her home state of Tennessee in 2007, she segued into the role of corporate communications manager for Scripps Networks Interactive in Knoxville, where she handled media relations, marketing, government relations, corporate social responsibility initiatives and events, social media strategy and assisted with distribution renewals. In her current role, she’s focused on internal communications and executive communication initiatives. This allows Knight to utilize her writing prowess across several internal platforms to inform and educate domestic and international employees. Her love and enthusiasm for the Scripps Networks Interactive brands makes her a strong proponent of the network group and its relationships with various stakeholders.
Knight is a cum laude graduate of the University of Tennessee with a BS degree in Business Administration. She is an active member of Women in Cable Telecommunications (WICT) and has programmed panels for their national conference and assisted with local events. She’s member of Association of Cable Communicators (ACC) and Cable & Telecommunications Association for Marketing (CTAM), and is also actively involved in women’s ministry at her church. She lives with her husband and son in Knoxville, Tennessee, and is addicted to magazines and recipe collection.
