Tina Morris

Tina Morris gained an interest in network technologies during her service in the Navy and believes we are living in a fascinating era of technology, filled with limitless challenges and opportunities.

Tina took an unusual route to completing her education, in that she earned her Associate’s degree while in the Navy, followed by a year at Florida State and then completed her Bachelor’s degree in Technology Management at St. Petersburg College, while working full time.

After an interesting position as network admin with the company responsible for maintaining the West Virginia lottery, Tina returned to her roots in Florida and accepted a position with Road Runner/Time Warner Cable. Eventually her division was absorbed by Bright House Networks, where she accepted a role on the Sustaining Engineering Team, specializing in IPv4 and IPv6 Strategy.

The knowledge Tina gained in her roles at Time Warner Cable and Bright House Networks made her realize what interesting challenges and possibilities lay ahead for the Industry and the role IP Management and Strategy Planning will play, and she knew she wanted to be a part of the next discoveries.

Tina is excited to be included in the WICT mentoring program and look forward to meeting other women who, like herself, are intrigued with technological possibilities.
