Twuanna Munroe Ward

Twuanna Ward serves a Vice President of Transaction Accounting at Scripps Networks Interactive, Inc.  She began her tenure with Scripps in 2006 as Vice President, Affiliate Accounting, and most recently served as Vice President, Distribution Accounting and Receivables Management.  Her current responsibilities include oversight of the operations and month-end financial close processes for the content accounting and distribution accounting teams.  She is also responsible for SNI’s ad sales credit and collections operations.

 

Twuanna’s career began in Houston, Texas, as an auditor with Arthur Anderson & Co. She subsequently relocated to Atlanta, Ga to join Cox Enterprises as an internal auditor where she planned and performed on-site financial and operational audits for Cox’s subsidiaries.  Afterwards she joined Cox Communications, Inc. as an accounting manager.  In 2002 she was hired as Controller at Black Family Channel, and was subsequently promoted to CFO.

 

During Twuanna’s time in the industry she has been a member of WICT and NAMIC.  She is also active in the community.  She is a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., The Links, Incorporated, and a graduate of Leadership Knoxville.  She serves on the board of the Knoxville Museum of Art, and has served on the board of the FAMU Foundation, Inc. since 2007, most recently as board chair.

 

Twuanna graduated magna cum laude with a degree in accounting from Florida A&M University (FAMU). After passing the CPA exam, she obtained her MBA at Georgia State University.  Twuanna currently resides in Knoxville with her husband Derick.
