Valerie Gillespie is Vice President, General Manager of the Comcast Southern Division Augusta, GA cable system. Valerie oversees the entire operation providing cable television products and services to more than 108,000 Comcast customers and employs an estimated 350 employees with 10 direct reports.
Before assuming her current role, Valerie was Vice President Tennessee Customer Care Operation. In this position, Valerie oversaw the service provided to Comcast’s Tennessee operations, more than 600,000 customers, focusing on making Comcast a preferred service provider for its cable video and high-speed internet products.
Valerie is a 13 year veteran of the cable television industry, starting out in cable advertising, migrating to cable operations in 1997. Prior to Comcast acquiring the Middle Tennessee properties, Valerie was the Regional Director for the cable operation in Nashville Tennessee serving over 300,000 customers.
Valerie is a contributing member in numerous community organizations. She is on the board of directors for both the Georgia and South Carolina Cable Television Associations.
