Veronica Cajigas is Senior Vice President of Global Business Operations and International Operations for Discovery Communications. In her role as Senior Vice President of Global Operations, Veronica plays a key role consolidating the Media Technology, Productions and Operations (MTP&O) business operations and strategic planning functions across the organization to create efficiencies and seamless project management. In her role as Senior Vice President of International Media Operations, she is responsible for overall overseeing of Discovery Operations and Transmission in DLA/USH, DNE and DNAP.
Prior to her current role, Veronica served as Senior Vice President of Operations for DLA/USH division, where she was responsible for re-defining the process and structure of the Operations groups and their relationships with other stakeholders within and outside DLA/USH.
Before joining Discovery in 2006, Veronica worked as a Consultant for Mckinsey & Company both in its Colombian and Washington D.C offices. During her tenure at Mckinsey she served leading companies in the USA, Europe and Latin America focusing on strategy and operational topics.
Veronica holds a Master in Public Administration and International Development from the Harvard Kennedy School of Government, a bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, and a bachelor’s degree in Economics from Universidad de Los Andes in Bogota, Colombia.
Veronica lives in Washington, D.C. with her husband, Brian.
