Vicki Bodman

Vicki Bodman brings a broad background of IT experience in server operations, storage operations, networking, and application support.  She is currently the Senior Director of Data Center Operations in Digital Media Technologies (DMT) at Turner Broadcasting Systems, Inc.  She is responsible for server and storage operations, network engineering and operations, and the 24×7 Operations Center supporting 1600+ company websites including cnn.com, money.com, cartoonnetwork.com, nba.com, si.com and nascar.com.  Vicki has spent the past eleven and half years at Turner and CNN in various capacities; she started her career at Turner in 1997 as a UNIX administrator and then moved into management.  In 2000, Vicki moved to DMT to stand up an application support team.  Since then Vicki has contributed to DMT in many areas.  From Manager of Application Support to Director of Core Services to Director of Application Support, she has worked with all areas of DMT and their customers.  In 2007, Vicki moved out of line management to take on the role of Chief Systems Integration Engineer for several major CNN.com initiatives such as CNN.com Relaunch, Elections Coverage and iReport.com launch.  She moved into her current position in mid-2008.  Prior to Turner/CNN, Vicki worked for the USAF as a Quality Assurance Evaluator and Base Systems Administrator, and then for TheraTX as a UNIX administrator.

Additionally, Vicki’s formal education is in Computer Science. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science and Mathematics, as well as a Master of Science degree in Computer Science from Mississippi State University.  Vicki is a member of WICT and Webmonsters, serving on the Membership Council.

Vicki resides in Atlanta, Georgia with her husband, two children, and two dogs.  She enjoys running and playing soccer.
