Wendy Farley is the Vice President of Government Affairs for the Greater Chicago Region for Comcast. In her role with Comcast, Wendy oversees all government relations at the local level for the Greater Chicago Region. She handles the negotiations of Comcast’s 400 franchise agreements with local municipalities covering 1.8 million customers in the Greater Chicago Region and currently oversees the transition of Insight Illinois properties into Comcast. Wendy was previously the Senior Director of Government Affairs for the Comcast Colorado Market.
Before joining the company, Wendy served as Legal Counsel on Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C.
In addition, Wendy serves as a Governor-appointed board member of the Broadband Deployment Council. She has been a Special Advocate for the Rocky Mountain Children’s Law Center. She was President of Toastmasters and was Treasurer of the Longmont Cable Trust. Wendy was the Vice President of the Colorado Cable Television Association. Wendy is a member of the Chicago Executive’s Club, Chicago Women in Government Relations and Chicagoland Chamber.
Wendy is a member of the Women in Cable Telecommunications and is a mentor in the WICT Mentoring Program. She was named the WICT “Woman to Watch.” The Woman to Watch award recognizes an outstanding woman who has become accomplished and versed in both her job and in her working knowledge of the cable and/or telecommunications industry and shows future leadership qualities.
A native of New Orleans, Wendy graduated from Louisiana State University with a Bachelor of Arts degree and received a Juris Doctorate from the Louisiana State University Law School. Wendy is a member of the Colorado Bar and the Louisiana Bar. She graduated from the Comcast Executive Leadership Forum in 2005.
Wendy is married to Brian Farley. The Farleys have three children.
