Join your fellow The WICT Network: New York members for a fantastic cause: volunteer to support people returning to the workforce!
With over 10M people out of the workforce due to family caregiving responsibilities & other factors a whopping 90% OF THEM ARE WOMEN. Women aiming to get back into the workforce are often faced with serious anxiety, especially if they haven’t interviewed or “pitched” in a few years. For this reason, The WICT Network: New York is so honored to partner with Path Forward, a non-profit on a mission to empower women and caregivers to restart their careers.
The WICT Network members will help people with their presentation & networking skills by listening to and offering feedback on their personal elevator pitches. At the start of the event, Path Forward staff will provide a quick highlight on how to provide feedback, and then volunteers will be paired with returners in a “speed-dating” format of ten-minute intervals.
This is a one-off event to volunteer & give back to the community and help our fellow women colleagues become best prepared to return to the workforce, building their confidence and helping them reinforce their soft skills.
