​​​2015 WICT Community Service Award RecipientWICT Carolinas was honored to receive the 2015 WICT Community Service Award, given to the chapter that demonstrated an outstanding commitment to giving back to their local community. ​​WICT Carolinas focused its 2015 philanthropic support on domestic violence awareness, partnering with:North Carolina Coalition Against Domestic Violence (NCCADV)South Carolina Coalition Against Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault (SCCADVASA)Domestic Violence Awareness and Fundraising were incorporated into several programs and events: Enhancing Your Personal Brand (in partnership with Belk, Inc.) - $572.77Mentoring Circles – each circle was paired with a local shelter and charged with developing a giving back project to help meet the shelter's needs.  Circles raised $5375 for local shelters.   Collecting school supplies for women's shelter.Silent Auction (in partnership with NAMIC Carolinas) – raised $3021 by auctioning big ticket items such as signed Carolina Panthers memorabilia. In 2014, WICT Carolinas raised raised $15,000 for The Rosie Network: Naval Academy Special Forces Family Foundation.  We also donated professional development books to Dress for Success, enabling the organization to fill its resource centers in Charlotte, Raleigh and Winston-Salem, NC as well as Charleston, SC.
