Women in Cable Telecommunications (WICT) today announced a performance by two-time Grammy Award winner and star of the hit Broadway musical "Dreamgirls," Jennifer Holliday. Holliday will appear at the 24th Annual WICT Benefit Gala held on November 20, 2008 at the Grand Hyatt Washington in Washington, DC.
"We are delighted that Jennifer Holliday will be performing for the 24th Annual WICT Foundation Benefit Gala," said Benita Fitzgerald Mosley, WICT President & CEO. "She is arguably one of the greatest female Rhythm and Blues voices of the 20th century." Holliday, has recorded several chart-topping singles including her signature spine-tingling hit song "And I Am Telling You I’m Not Going."
Also scheduled to appear at the 24th Annual WICT Benefit Gala are Sally Pressman, currently known for her role as "Roxy" on Lifetime Network’s Army Wives and ESPN writer and television host, Chris Connelly.
The highlight of the Gala will be the presentation of the 2008 Accolades, WICT’s most prestigious awards. Honorees include:

The Forerunner Accolades, presented to the Best Programmer for Women in Cable and the Best Operator for Women in Cable as determined by the WICT PAR Initiative, will be announced during the week of November 16, 2008. The 2008 WICT Benefit Gala is presented by the WICT Leadership Circle: Comcast Cable, Turner Broadcasting System, Inc., Time Warner Cable, MTV Networks/BET Networks, Charter Communications and Rainbow Media Holdings LLC.
