Washington, DC - Women in Cable Telecommunications (WICT) today announced that Alex Wagner, host of MSNBC's NOW with Alex Wagner, will open the 2013 WICT Leadership Conference on Monday, October 7. Wagner will share her thoughts on some of the issues especially relevant to women that she tackles on her daily news show. Wagner will be introduced by Comcast|NBCUniversal Executive Vice President, David Cohen. Cohen will also share his insights and experience on creating strong diversity and inclusion practices with the Leadership Conference audience.

Alex Wagner has been an MSNBC analyst and a frequent MSNBC guest since 2010. Currently the host of NOW with Alex Wagner, she was previously a reporter with Huffington Post, where she covered innovation in the American economy, investigating the intersection of business, politics, and new technology. Prior to this, Wagner served as the White House correspondent for Politics Daily, where she chronicled a number of international and domestic affairs ranging from the BP oil spill to the Egyptian revolution. She has earned praise for her thoughtful analysis, easy-going format, and ability to fairly moderate political discussions.
