Washington, DC – Women in Cable Telecommunications (WICT) today announced that Jocelyne Lamoureux-Davidson and Monique Lamoureux-Morando, USA Women’s Hockey gold medalists, will kick off the WICT Leadership Conference. The keynote conversation will take place during the opening general session of the 2019 WICT Leadership Conference on Monday, September 16, at the New York Marriott Marquis.
“We are thrilled to welcome Jocelyne and Monique as we open WICT’s Leadership Conference and Diversity Week,” said WICT President & CEO, Maria E. Brennan, CAE. “Highly-decorated Olympic champions, the Lamoureux twins are a force both on and off the ice. Passionate advocates for gender equity, they helped to lead the fight for fair and equal treatment for the U.S. national women’s teams by USA Hockey, including more equitable treatment as compared to men. As new mothers, both women have been able to take advantage of a newly negotiated maternity leave policy — the first women hockey Olympians to do so. Their commitment to gender equity aligns perfectly with WICT’s mission.”
