Washington, DC – Women in Cable Telecommunications (WICT) announces the 2021 Woman of the Year – Operator, Noopur Davis, EVP, Chief Information Security and Product Privacy Officer, Comcast Corporation and Comcast Cable; and Woman of the Year – Programmer, Nancy Daniels, Chief Brand Officer, Discovery & Factual. Woman of the Year is WICT’s highest individual accolade bestowed on individuals who embody WICT’s mission to develop women leaders who transform the industry. Honorees have achieved top industry status and show great resolve to help others along their path.

WICT also announced the esteemed 2021 Woman to Watch honorees from an operator, programmer and technology organization, respectively: Sharon Peters, SVP, Marketing, Charter Communications; Stephanie Yates, SVP, Research, AMC Networks; and Reshma Patil Bijoor, Managing Director in Communications and Media Strategy, Accenture. The Woman to Watch distinction recognizes leaders who show tremendous growth and progression through their professional goals with a strong commitment to their companies and the industry at large.

Honorees will receive their awards during the WICT Signature • Touchstones Luncheon on Wednesday, October 20, at the New York Marriott Marquis. Comcast NBCUniversal is the exclusive Premier Sponsor of the Signature • Touchstones Luncheon.

Sharon Peters joined Charter Communications as Group Vice President, Marketing, in 2016 and was promoted to Senior Vice President of Marketing in August 2020, overseeing all customer acquisition, upgrade and retention, marketing communications, marketing and sales enablement, database marketing, media and sponsorships and direct marketing for the company’s residential and Spectrum Business products and services.
