The WICT Network’s Signature Luncheon Takes Place Thursday, April 14 in Conjunction with B&C HOF Dinner

Washington, DC – The WICT Network has announced that its 2022 Signature Luncheon will be held Thursday, April 14 in New York immediately preceding the B&C Hall of Fame dinner—marking the first time the two events are partnered.

The Signature Luncheon will take place at The Plaza Hotel’s Grand Ballroom on 5th Avenue, with the Hall of Fame dinner following that evening in the Ziegfeld Ballroom on 54th Street, bringing two premier events together to recognize exemplary leadership in media, entertainment and technology.

The Signature Luncheon serves as a key diversity and inclusion platform for The WICT Network, showcasing the groundbreaking work that supports the advancement of women.

Among the highlights of the Signature Luncheon, The WICT Network will commemorate the 50th Anniversary of Title IX, best known for breaking down barriers in sports for women and girls. Before the 1972 passage of Title IX, fewer than 16,000 U.S. women participated in college sports; today that number exceeds 200,000, and girls participating in high school sports has grown from one in 35 to one in three over the same time period.

“We are thrilled to co-locate with Broadcasting & Cable’s Hall of Fame in New York, our home away from home,” said Maria E. Brennan, CAE, President & CEO. “Collaborating with B&C offers The WICT Network an exceptional platform to recognize the positive impact of Title IX, and serves to reinforce our new name and brand alongside a publication that touts both broadcasting and cable in its name.”

The WICT Network proudly recognizes Comcast NBCUniversal as the Premier Sponsor of the Signature Luncheon, as well as Ruby Sponsor Charter Communications and Champion Sponsor Accenture.
