WICT Announces Nomi Bergman to Open Tech It Out Program in Philadelphia

Washington, DC – Women in Cable Telecommunications (WICT) today announced that Nomi Bergman, President of Advance/Newhouse, will deliver an opening address at the 2018 WICT Tech It Out event on July 18 at Villanova University.

This year, WICT Global is proud to collaborate with the WICT Greater Philadelphia Chapter to co-host a full-day conference that focuses on a topic currently driving changes in technology, society and our industry: voice interface.

A leader in the technology industry, Nomi Bergman has over twenty-five years of experience as an operator, investor and advisor to technology companies. Throughout her admirable career, Ms. Bergman has focused on emerging technologies centered on reimagining and improving the customer experience including mobile, data and video communications, information technology and data services and advanced advertising. Nomi also serves as the namesake for WICT’s technology fellowship, the Nomi M. Bergman Fellowship. In addition, she is a recipient of the Women in Technology Award and the Woman of the Year Award, WICT’s highest individual accolade.

The WICT Tech It Out program will also feature experts who will demo new and innovative voice and conversational products. Presenters will delve into the design of user interfaces, what technologies enable them, how they are being used and the impact they have on our lives.

“We are delighted to welcome Nomi Bergman. She is a trailblazer in cable and technology as well as a longtime supporter of WICT and women in the industry. Nomi will serve as a superlative opening keynote alongside a robust program of learning and leadership,” said Maria E. Brennan, CAE, WICT President & CEO.

WICT’s Tech It Out Initiative premiered in 2009 with the goal of creating strong women leaders in technology, while also raising awareness about the vast opportunities for women in the tech fields within our industry. Designed to bring together thought-leaders in technology from both inside and outside cable media, the event attracts approximately 300 attendees.

WICT Tech It Out is open to the public, including men and women. Students under 18 must be supervised by an adult. Click here to register for the event.

WICT proudly recognizes the Global Sponsors of the 2018 Tech It Out program: ARRIS and Cisco, as well as industry partners, the Walter Kaitz Foundation and NAMIC.
