Sherita T. Ceasar

Sherita T. Ceasar is Senior Vice President of National Video Deployment Engineering for Comcast Communications. In this role, Sherita has transformed unique regional video deployment activities into a National Video Deployment Engineering function that is a critical element of Comcast’s highly regarded video platform. Her foresight and strategy for video deployment encompasses complex, cross-company initiatives and infrastructure projects. She is responsible for the overall vision, direction, and management of all national video deployment projects including cross-company new build infrastructure projects, software and hardware platform upgrades, technical launch validation, infrastructure capacity augmentation and decommissioning of end-of-life video equipment.  Sherita’s technology deployment scope spans core video conditional access systems, video cloud service platforms, video interactive applications, content distribution networks and back office infrastructure.

 

Sherita Ceasar is a senior executive with over 33 years in the telecommunications industry shaping and delivering innovative technologies. Major accomplishments include launching the first Comcast Universal Caller ID cross platform application, remote DVR, Comcast Content Distribution Network, Cavalry conditional access and Cloud DVR platforms.  Sherita has also led paging operations for Motorola as director of Manufacturing for North and South America Paging Group; technology integration and service business management as Vice President and GM of SciCare Broadband Services; Vice President of Digital Launch and Vice President of Quality at Scientific Atlanta, and as the Vice President and GM of Charter Communications.

 

In addition to being a significant contributor and advocate of WICT sponsored venues, Sherita also demonstrates a strong commitment to cultivating the next generation of engineers, initiating, scaling and leading the Comcast FIRST Robotics program. Sherita is the recipient of numerous achievement awards including CableFAX: The Magazine’s "Most Powerful Women in Tech", "Most Influential Minorities in Cable and Most Influential Women In Cable", "Multi-channel News Wonder Woman", and "Career Communications Technologist of the Year", inducted into the Women in Technology International (WITI) Hall of Fame", the NYC YWCA Academy of Women Achievers, Top 50 Technology Leaders in Cable Industry by Cable Fax and Business Diva by Atlanta’s Business to Business Magazine.

 

Sherita received her Bachelor of Science and Masters of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the Illinois Institute of Technology in Chicago, Illinois. She has served over 10 years on the national board of directors for Women in Cable Telecommunications (WICT). She has served as Board of Trustee for Illinois Institute of Technology and she is past National President for the Society of Women Engineers (SWE).
