Ann Carlsen is the force behind the brand considered to be the gold standard of boutique search firms, having placed more than seven thousand exceptional executives and rising stars in critical industry roles since she founded her company in 1989. An internationally respected executive search leader, consultant, coach, advisor on leadership development and champion of women and workplace diversity, Ann is a results-oriented strategist who intimately understands the goals and needs of her clients and has an uncanny antenna for the trends and pulse of the overall marketplace in the media, entertainment and technology sectors worldwide.
Ann founded the Telecommunications Diversity Network (TDN), an industry-wide initiative that provided the Industry with a “no fee” job bank populated with the best diversity candidates. She was also the architect of the very successful industry-wide mentorship initiative that is now called the L. Patrick Mellon Mentorship Program and housed by the National Association for Multi-Ethnicity in Communications (NAMIC).
Ann is the recipient of numerous national honors and awards for her industry contributions, including induction into the Cable Hall of Fame, the National Cable Telecommunications Association’s (NCTA) Distinguished Vanguard Award for Leadership, Women in Cable and Telecommunications (WICT)’s Woman of the Year and inclusion on CableFAX magazine’s “CableFAX 100” and “Most Powerful Women in Cable” lists multiple times. She has served as national president of WICT and chair of its Foundation and on the boards of NAMIC, CTAM and its Educational Foundation, The Cable Center, the Cable TV Pioneers and the NCTA.
When not working or traveling, you will find Ann hiking with her dogs, gardening and (aww…) raising baby animals.
