As women in traditional workplaces, we’re often navigating a double bind. When we show up as warm and likable, we risk being perceived as less competent. When we show up as assertive and decisive, we risk being perceived as less likable. It can feel like we’re walking a tightrope every day, carefully calibrating how we speak, lead and show up.
