30-Day Habit Builder
In celebration of International Women’s Day, join The WICT Network’s 30-Day Leadership Habit Builder — a shared experience designed for you and a colleague or friend. Built on the science of habit formation, it uses small daily actions and accountability to help a leadership skill stick.
Here’s how it works. You register, then share the link with the person you’re inviting so they can register as well. Together, you’ll choose one leadership skill to strengthen, such as self-advocacy, gaining sponsorship or executive presence, and spend 30 days practicing side by side with daily prompts and simple accountability.
The program begins with a 45-minute virtual kick-off call on Thursday, March 12 (10:00 am ET | 7:00 am PT | 3:00 pm GMT) and continues through April 11. Once you register, you’ll receive a calendar invite for the kickoff session.
A FAQ is included below. If you have additional questions, please contact events@wict.org.
Program Details
This experience is open to members of The WICT Network and the guests they invite. There is no cost to participate. It’s an opportunity to grow your leadership skills together and introduce your guest to The WICT Network’s community firsthand.
30-Day Leadership Habit Builder
Who: You and one colleague or friend you invite
Program Dates: March 12 to April 11
Virtual Kickoff: March 12 at 10:00 am ET | 7:00 am PT | 3:00 pm GMT
Price: No cost
Q: How much time does this take?
A: Under 5 minutes a day to complete a check-in and reflection. Plus, one 45-minute kickoff call on March 12. You and your partner decide how often to check in beyond that.
Q: What if I don’t know who to invite?
A: Think about who you’d want alongside you if you were working on a leadership skill. A colleague in another department. A friend who’s in the industry but not in WICT yet. It doesn’t have to be someone you work with directly.
Q: Do we both have to choose the same topic?
A: No. You pick one development area that matters to you and work on it side by side for 30 days.
Q: What if my person can’t make the kickoff call?
A: We’ll record it. But the real value is in the 30 days of habit-building that follow, not the kickoff.
Q: How does registration work?
A: Register here. It is open to members and the Habit Builder partner they choose.
Q: What’s the platform like? Do we download something?
A: It’s web-based and mobile-friendly. No download needed. You’ll set up the tool during the kick-off.
Q: Will my guest feel pressured to join The WICT Network?
A: No. This is about the experience first. We’ll share info about membership in The WICT Network, but there’s no pressure. The value is in the 30 days of practice together.
Q: What if one of us drops out halfway through?
A: You can keep going. The prompts still come. You can check in with each other as much or as little as makes sense.
Q: What happens after the 30 days?
A: You’ll have practiced a real leadership skill with real accountability. What you do with that is up to you.
Q: Can I bring someone who used to be a member?
A: Yes. If someone let their membership lapse, this is a great way to re-engage them.
Q: Do I have to bring someone or can I do it alone?
A: This program is designed around doing it together. That’s what makes it work. If you want solo development, we have other programs for that.
Q: What if my colleague says no?
A: Ask someone else. Or frame it differently. This isn’t “join my thing,” it’s “let’s work on this skill together for a month.” Most people say yes when it’s framed as mutual development.
