As Manager of Corporate Communications at CMT, Amanda Murphy is charged with publicity efforts for the network’s original programming and emerging platforms, including CMT.com, the 24-hour music channel CMT Pure Country, CMT Mobile and CMT On Demand.
Since joining CMT in 2002, Murphy has worked on such hit shows as the annual “CMT Music Awards,” “Trick My Truck” and “Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders: Making the Team.” In addition, she has overseen communications efforts for the company’s digital expansion, including broadband and wireless launches, and works closely with trade press to support the network’s content distribution, ad sales and marketing efforts.
Previously, Murphy worked in corporate communications at Affinion Group. A Georgia native, she holds a bachelor’s degree from Middle Tennessee State University and is a member of the Public Relations Society of America. Murphy is also a proud mom to her one-year-old son Cooper, and has been married seven years.
