Alice Wong is the Director of Enterprise Reporting and Analytics for Residential Technical Operations at Time Warner Cable. She leads a team of data and business intelligence analysts to provide standardized reporting, innovative BI dashboards and complex analyses, aiming to provide insights to operational effectiveness and to resolve specific business issues. The business analyses created by Alice’s team have contributed to the improvements in operations efficiencies, productivity and standardization.
Alice first joined the cable industry in 1998 when she joined MediaOne as a Senior Financial Analyst. Within six months of employment, she was promoted to Manager of Financial Planning and Analysis for the Video product. In that role, she managed the monthly and annual forecast and budget for programming costs and operating expenses for Engineering, Technical Operations, Customer Care and numerous other functional departments. Her responsibilities included ensuring accurate monthly financial statement and development of labor models for accurate projection of labor need and expenses. She continued in similar roles during the AT&T Broadband acquisition and Comcast acquisition. In 2006, Alice accepted the Director of Finance position with Time Warner Cable to oversee the finance team for the SoCal South Division. For about a year, she also managed all of the cable store operations which included 24 cable stores across the footprint. In 2012, Alice took on a new challenge and moved into Technical Operations to lead the reporting and analytic team for the South Division. In 2014, Alice moved into her current role and expanded her leadership in reporting and analytic to the entire enterprise.
Prior to joining, Alice worked for Texaco and Computer Sciences Corporation in the finance and accounting department. Alice holds a BA degree from UCLA, Business Economics department. She also earned an MBA degree from USC Marshall School of Business, while working full time at Comcast Cable. Alice currently resides in Irvine, CA with her husband and two children. When she is away from work, she enjoys snowboarding and traveling with her family. She also volunteer for the local community and is the treasurer for her daughter’s Girl Scout troop.
