Amy McGill is an attorney serving as Director of Legal Affairs, within the Legal & Business Affairs group of A+E Networks in Los Angeles, CA. In this role, she drafts and negotiates various agreements related to the development and production of original programming, including rights deals, overall deals, writer, producer, director and actor agreements. She works on above-the-line labor issues and helps to resolve guild claims. She reviews music licenses for network shows and collaborates with internal executives on the development and production of television pilots, series and movies.
Prior to joining A+E in 2017, Amy oversaw the Residuals Collections and Estates/Trusts area of the Writers Guild of America, West in Los Angeles, CA, where she led a team focused on residuals enforcement strategies. Her contributions led to year-on-year growth in residuals collections as well as increased claims resolutions.
Early in her career, Amy worked in the Regulatory Compliance and Litigation Support Divisions of Sinaiko Healthcare Consulting in Los Angeles, CA, providing research, analysis, reporting and guidance on federal and state healthcare laws and regulations.
Outside of work, Amy enjoys coaching mock trial for the Constitutional Rights Foundation’s annual competition, traveling, and most importantly, spending quality time with her husband, two young boys and two dogs.
