Jasmine Oberman is Distribution Counsel at A+E Television Networks in Los Angeles. She provides legal and strategic support for the distribution of A+E networks and programming on various media platforms, including cable, satellite, Internet and mobile, with an emphasis on technology and digital platform issues. Jasmine was first introduced to WICT by her colleagues at A+E and is very appreciative of the organization’s efforts to promote advocacy, self-empowerment and leadership training for women.
Prior to A+E, Jasmine’s legal experience represents a blend of corporate, digital media and entertainment work. She began her career in entertainment law as an Associate at Latham & Watkins LLP in the Technological Transactions and Media Group. Jasmine dove further into the world of digital media at Evolve Media Corporation where she worked as Corporate Counsel, handling intellectual property licensing and protection, entertainment law, and corporate law matters. Jasmine gained additional entertainment experience while working at Mark Burnett Productions and Warner Bros. International Television Distribution.
Jasmine is a Los Angeles native with a B.A. from UCLA in Political Science and a J.D. from Northwestern University School of Law. In addition to the WICT Rising Leaders Program, Jasmine has pursued leadership opportunities through her involvement with the Jewish Federation of Greater Los Angeles and Thirty Years After, a non-profit organization co-founded by Jasmine in 2007.
