Nandhita Karunanithi is a Director of Audience Measurement at Cablevision Media Sales in New York. She is responsible for leading the development of innovative business intelligence solutions using behavioral data that tremendously help increase sales revenue by ensuring that minimal ad inventory is left unsold. Her team supports the development of leading-edge data products and analytics platform that can be packaged and monetized to any advertiser , programmer or agency looking for strategic insights of viewership to be used for advertising, marketing and content negotiations. Her team also provides intelligence used by Cablevision internal marketing, programming negotiations and churn analyses.
Prior to Cablevision, she has held roles of increasing responsibility in her eleven years at Barnes & Noble, beginning as a database administrator and moving into managerial positions where she was responsible for building the enterprise data warehouse that brought together online and offline channels. She started her career as a developer in a financial software company in India and moved to Dubai to work for Emirates airways. There she helped develop analytics to help reduce baggage loss. Her varied experience across various countries and industries has provided a rich experience which can be leveraged in the cable industry.
She received an executive MBA in Finance from NYU Stern School of Business and a Bachelor of Engineering and Computer Science from Annamalai University in India. She had been an avid runner and has participated in 3 marathons and 4 half marathon before her 2 year old. She hopes she can run at least couple half marathons this year.
