Sharon Allen

Sharon Allen is Vice President, Program Marketing & Advertising and is responsible for the development and oversight of consumer advertising for Showtime. In addition, she leads the development of integrated marketing plans supporting Showtime original programming. She has spearheaded numerous successful campaigns for hit series, including WEEDS, DEXTER, THE TUDORS, UNITED STATES OF TARA and NURSE JACKIE.

Sharon joined Showtime in 1999 and was previously Director of Advertising where she was responsible for overseeing individual advertising campaigns for numerous original pictures and series, including QUEER AS FOLK, HUFF and DEAD LIKE ME. In addition, she managed all aspects of the network’s cable and hotel trade advertising program.

Previous to Showtime, Sharon held a variety of account management positions at Bates USA, Grey Entertainment and Anderson & Lembke advertising agencies where her clients included Avis Rent-a-Car, Best Foods Baking, The WB Television Network, HarperCollins Publishers, LOT Polish Airlines and Ingersoll-Rand. She started her career at ABC Television Network in the photo department.

Sharon has served on the CTAM Mark Awards Committee for the past three years and is currently its vice-chair. She graduated magna cum laude from UCLA with a B.A. in Communication Studies and a specialization in Business Administration.
