As Senior Content Accountant at Scripps Networks Interactive, Amber Zimmerman accounts for talent costs for shows on HGTV, Food Network, Travel Channel, DIY Network, Cooking Channel and Great American County. She also recently began managing royalty accounting where she reviews and analyzes programming and talent agreements for inbound and outbound royalty provisions across all networks. This newly-created position allows Zimmerman to use her process improvement skills to develop and implement the necessary means to track royalties. As SNI begins implementation of royalty tracking software, she will play a vital role to ensure that the system is properly configured.
Prior to her tenure in content accounting, Zimmerman worked as Senior Accountant in SNI’s General Ledger team. During her eight years in this role, she discovered her interest in process improvement and was also able to work with employees across the company to build a foundational knowledge of the cable industry. Earlier in her career, Zimmerman worked as an auditor in a local public accounting firm where she audited a diverse portfolio of companies involved in banking, manufacturing and distribution.
Zimmerman obtained a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Tennessee Technological University where she graduated summa cum laude. She resides in Knoxville, Tennessee with her husband and two young children. Her favorite Scripps Networks Interactive shows are Wild Things with Dominic Monaghan, Fixer Upper and Unwrapped.
