Amy Schuster is a director of consumer marketing at truTV. In this role, she leads marketing and media strategy for several of the network’s priority series and initiatives, including truTV’s first full-length scripted series Those Who Can’t, Billy On The Street and the Clio Award-winning #truTVisAThing March Madness social campaign.
She managed the recent truTV brand campaign, rolling out a parody creative and new tagline, Funny because it’s tru, across multiple platforms. Schuster also produces truTV’s presence at various industry events and comedy festivals including Comic-Con, SXSW, and Just For Laughs, working to redefine the network as a comedic brand.
Prior to joining truTV in 2015, Schuster has done stints at Oxygen, Comedy Central, and MTV- collaborating with tattoo artists, stand-up comedians, and rock stars. She has a degree in journalism from The Pennsylvania State University and is passionate about poetry, puns, and pizza. She is an advocate of alliteration and an Oxford comma vigilante. Amy lives in Brooklyn with her dog Booker.
