Andrea Zapata is Vice President of Research and Insights at Comcast Spotlight, the Advertising Sales Division of Comcast Cable, where she oversees Comcast Spotlight’s data innovation and measurement team as well as the in-market client research team. In this role, Andrea is responsible for the company’s initiative to develop and introduce innovative, unique research solutions to help clients reach specific audiences. In addition, she provides custom research insights for local, regional and national businesses, as well as industry trends to support Comcast Spotlight’s internal teams, leading the organization into the data-driven future with audience and attribution. Andrea joined Comcast Spotlight from Vevo, where she served as Vice President, Research and Analytics. At Vevo, Andrea built the research practice from the ground up and made critical changes in Vevo’s go-to-market sales narrative—overseeing the shift from views to audience—while developing data-driven media products, which contributed to Vevo doubling its revenue. Prior to Vevo, Andrea led ad sales research at Hulu, where her team initiated demographic currency reporting capabilities that drove Hulu’s acceptance by all major agencies and holding groups as a key player in video. Andrea began her research career at ESPN. Andrea attended The Ohio State University. She resides in the New York area with her family.
