Barbara Linebarger is vice president of network partnerships for U.S. Network Operations at Turner Broadcasting System, Inc. (TBS, Inc.). In this capacity, she is responsible for the strategic partnership with Peachtree TV and the TBS, Inc. animation networks Cartoon Network, Boomerang and Adult Swim. She is based in Atlanta and reports to Lisa Hyams, senior vice president of U.S. Network Partnerships, Network Operations, TBS, Inc.
U.S. Network Operations provides 24/7/365 technical and operational support for Turner Broadcasting’s entertainment; animation and young adult; and sports media environments on television and other platforms. Network Operations supports TNT, TBS, truTV, Turner Classic Movies, Cartoon Network, Adult Swim and Boomerang, and serves as the distribution home for NBA-TV. Operational areas within Network Operations include engineering, broadcast operations, traffic, media, and multiplatform operations.
Prior to her promotion in 2008, Linebarger was senior director of network operations, where she oversaw the operations support teams in sales operations, media services and log production. She joined TBS, Inc. in 1981 and held multiple positions, including producer for live and post-production shows such as the Southern Regional Emmy Awards, for which she won an Emmy award in 1994.
Linebarger earned a bachelor of arts degree in speech with an emphasis on radio and television from Georgia State University. She is a member of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences (NATAS), Women in Cable Telecommunications (WICT), Women in Technology (WIT), Alliance for Women in Media (AWRT), and Turner Women Today. Linebarger is a graduate of the WICT Leadership Development program. She currently serves as a Past President on the WICT Southeast Board of Directors and is a member of the prestigious Betsy Magness Leadership class 27. She is also a graduate of the WIT Executive Coaching program and served as an advisor in the WIT Careers in Action leadership program.
