Beth Hanssens

Beth Hanssens is Vice President, Finance for Sprout®, the first 24-hour preschool destination available on TV, on demand and online for kids ages 2-5 and their parents and caregivers.  An accomplished professional with more than 19 years of experience in finance and accounting, Hanssens is responsible for managing the network’s overall budget, ensuring that financial spending is aligned with board objectives and facilitating communication among departments for all Sprout finance-related matters. 

Additionally, Hanssens generates and manages all information for the Sprout Audit Committee, and oversees the implementation of the financial systems and staffing requirements at the network.  In this role, Beth led the company to achieve free cash flow positive status one year ahead of the original business plan.

Prior to joining Sprout, Hanssens served for eight years at Comcast Corporation in various roles of increasing responsibility.  Most recently, as Director, Corporate Accounting, she was responsible for the corporate division consolidated budget.  She also led the corporate accounting integration for a vital acquisition that significantly increased the cable subscriber base.   

Prior to her tenure at Comcast, Hanssens was Vice President, Finance at Fiberlink Communications where she managed all the finance and treasury functions.  She also served as Manager, Audit and Business Advisory Services practice for Arthur Andersen LLP for six years.   

Hanssens holds a B.S. in Business Administration from Drexel University.  She was also recently named CFO of the Year in the small company category by the Philadelphia Business Journal.  Hanssens serves as a board member for the Support Center for Child Advocates and is a member of Women in Cable Telecommunications (WICT), American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants (PICPA).  She and her husband live in Bryn Mawr, PA with their two children.
