Betsy Rella is a Vice President of Research at Lifetime Networks, where she oversees all Research to support National Ad Sales, Affiliate Sales/Distribution, On-line, and VOD for both Lifetime and the Lifetime Movie Network. Betsy is also the Research leader for the Lifetime Movie Network which is the #2 female targeted basic cable network. Her teams provide all presentations and analyses for Sales, as well as strategic research regarding new innovative platforms, and finding optimal ways to monetize them. Betsy’s LMN group provides all analyses regarding original movies, stunts, local market support, and all primary research which feed into the network’s overall tactical plan. Betsy joined Lifetime as Vice President in 2000 where she was responsible for all Research to support National Ad Sales, Marketing, and On-line. Prior to Lifetime, Betsy was Vice President of Program Research & Planning at MTV, and Director of Primetime Audience Analysis at Disney ABC Television Network. She began her professional career as a Research Analyst at LBS Communications in New York City. Betsy is a member of WICT and CTAM. She serves on the CTAM On Demand Committees for Advanced Advertising/Metrics & Reporting and the Consumer Experience Committee. She is also a member of the Nielsen Engagement Committee and the IAB Research Council. She earned a B.F.A. in Film/TV from New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts. Betsy currently resides in Harrison, NY with her husband Brian and her two sons Parker and Brandon.
