Crystal Martin is the photo manager for the Still Image Management department for Scripps Networks Interactive. She is responsible for the production, creation and management of still photography for all of the Scripps’ corporate departments; management of the production stills for all seven of Scripps’ on-air brands (HGTV, DIY Network, Food Network, Cooking Channel, Travel Channel, Great American Country and Scripps Networks International) as well as the production of hundreds of original commissioned shoots for network talent, unit stills, and digital and mobile assets. Additionally, Martin develops and implements the processes and workflows for company-wide still image management and serves as the business owner for Scripps’ enterprise image database, iDAM; as well as serving as the lead staff photographer and trainer. She leads a cutting-edge team of photo producer/editors and digital asset managers who support Scripps’ global media platforms including television, digital, mobile and publishing by leveraging internal assets and promotes cross company collaboration to maximize the use of company resources and media inventory.
Prior to joining Scripps in 2005, Martin worked as an executive assistant at the Washington, D.C.-based law firm Williams & Connolly, LLC. As part of the Sports and Entertainment Law team, she assisted with the recruitment of many of the firm’s NBA, WNBA and international athletes, facilitated multiple endorsement agreements, as well as prepare them for navigating the rookie and free agency processes. Martin is a veteran of the United States Air Force, having served as a Russian translator.
Martin graduated with honors from Hallmark Institute of Photography in Massachusetts.
